(Q1-2026) 4.16 - WIP
Engineering the Future of Distributed Industrial Intelligence
Following the major milestones achieved in Version 4.15, in the upcoming Version 4.16 we will focus on three strategic pillars: Total UI Democratization, Partner-Led Productization, and Embedded AI Sovereignty. This release will mark the transition of P4 into a distributed engine capable of delivering specialized manufacturing logic to every user on the shop floor.
1. UI & Experience: The Universal Designer
We are shifting our focus to the complete democratization of the application interface.
Intuitive UI Designer: A total overhaul of the UI Designer within the Configuration Studio to make the creation of new widgets and layouts more intuitive and sophisticated.
New Component Ecosystem: Introduction of a wide array of new building blocks, including advanced forms, dynamic listings, and captivating charts, allowing for the assembly of highly complex behavioral widgets.
Expansion Beyond Production Control: For the first time, users will be able to create custom screens and dialogues outside the Production Control module. This opens the platform to end-users across all manufacturing areas, tailored to their specific operational needs.
2. Partner Scale: P4 Packages 2.0
The Package system is evolving from a technical migration tool into a vehicle for delivering industry-specific products.
Full-Stack Portability: Packages will expand to include not just entities and flows, but entire widgets, layouts, and complete pages.
"Product-in-a-Box": This enables partners to create self-contained modules - specifically designed for unique industries or processes - and deliver them to customers as finished, importable solutions.
Enterprise Reliability: Robust new validation protocols and integrity checks will ensure that transferring complex configurations between environments is seamless and secure.
3. AI Sovereignty: Custom Agents & Embedded Logic
Artoo is moving from a general assistant to a specialized workforce within the P4 ecosystem.
Custom AI Agents: You will be able to build specialized AI agents with unique prompts and toolsets directly within the application to solve specific business problems.
Provider Sovereignty: New configuration settings will allow you to define the LLM provider and specific model for each custom agent.
The AI Node: We will be introducing the AI Node for both the Flow Builder and Widgets. This allows you to embed AI intelligence directly into the middle of a process flow, automating complex decision-making during execution.
Conversational Continuity: New frontend features will include conversation history and streaming responses, providing a faster and more natural interaction experience.
Generative Development: AI-driven SQL generation for custom queries and a bi-directional link between process descriptions and logic - allowing the AI to automatically update flows based on their documentation.
4. Infrastructure & Performance
We continue to harden the backbone of the P4 cloud infrastructure.
AWS Optimization: Enhanced security and accelerated deployment for AWS installations, including integration with central monitoring for proactive support.
Operational Efficiency: Implementation of server-side caching for AI requests to optimize performance and reduce operational costs.
Seamless Connectivity: Automated token refresh for Google OAuth integrations to ensure uninterrupted data flows.
5. Manufacturing Excellence: Multicavity MES Execution
Building on the planning innovations of 4.15, we are completing the execution cycle for complex production.
Shopfloor Multicavity Monitoring: We are bringing multicavity production execution to the Shopfloor View. This includes real-time monitoring and production declaration for extrusion processes where multiple products are manufactured simultaneously within a single production slot.
